Sydney Collins is the Connecticut Program Specialist at Abode, where she leads the team’s community outreach to help customers access heat pump programs and supports contractors in the Energize CT Heat Pump Installer Network (HPIN). She also performs heat pump consultations to guide customers through the process of adopting clean heating and cooling solutions.
She previously served as the Sustainability Coordinator for UConn’s regional campuses, where she supported decarbonization efforts through the campuses’ first emissions inventories and managed interns to plan sustainability events. She graduated from UConn in Spring 2023, where she developed her passion for climate advocacy through leadership in the Undergraduate Student Government and as an AmeriCorps VISTA in the City of Buffalo. Her work has focused on community outreach, statewide climate policy, and campus sustainability initiatives. As a UConn@COP fellow, she attended COP27 in Egypt and COP29 in Azerbaijan, sparking her interest in international climate politics.
Outside of work, Sydney enjoys bicycling, practicing yoga, learning languages, and dancing hip hop.
