Jason oversees the inspection team that performs inspections for the Mass Save program. He has been in the Mass Save program for 10 years, over 6 as an inspector at Abode. Jason was a crew lead and field manager performing and overseeing weatherization work prior to joining Abode in 2018. Most of Jason’s free time is spent with his wife and 2 kids. The Incentive application must be completed by the homeowner and contractor BEFORE heat pump installation detailing weatherization and heat pump proposals.
Whole-Home incentives require that system(s) must be designed to condition 100% of the home’s living space by volume and supply between 90-120% of the heating load at the correct design temperature for the home’s location. A Room by Room Manual J Calculation is the best practice for determining heating load and must be completed by your contractor.
The existing heating and cooling system must be disconnected, and the heat pump must be used as the primary heating and cooling system moving forward. This requirement does not apply to domestic hot water heating.
Whole-Home projects are eligible for incentives on weatherization, 50% of the cost covered up to $3,500 (excluding tax).
Air Source Heat Pumps must be listed on the Qualified Product List
