Sam is a retired physician and long-term Lexington resident. His interest in home heating options dates back to when he originally moved into his current home over 30 years ago and replaced an old, energy inefficient heat pump with an oil fed boiler. He recently replaced that aging oil system with an efficient cold climate heat pump and heat pump water heater. He learned a lot about home electrification during this process and found working with a HeatSmart Lexington advisor to be very helpful. As a result of that experience, he would like to help others who are exploring home electrification. He spent years commuting to work in Cambridge on a bike and is now an enthusiastic driver of an EV.
